About/Partners
This site is dedicated to YOU, the General Motors enthusiast. It doesn’t matter what model you drive. If your vehicle came from the General and you can’t get enough of it, we want to share your story.
GM Gearbox Magazine only matters because YOU matter.
GM Gearbox Magazine is part of the Gearbox Magazine project. Gearbox Magazine is dedicated to sharing the stories of passionate enthusiasts across model lines. We want to show enthusiasts that they matter in the overall automotive industry, to highlight similarities between people of different automotive pursuits, and maybe get the manufacturer involved in the conversation some day.
Our aim is to provide a mix of coverage which is impartial and reflects positively upon GM owners and GM vehicles. Balances we will continually strive to maintain include:
- Fair coverage of all GM models. Not everyone who is passionate about their GM drives a Corvette or CTS-V. We will balance coverage of multiple models. From the Aveo to the Monaro, we love them all.
- Fair coverage of all project build levels. It’s not hard to find information on the cars that have tens of thousands of dollars invested into them. Enthusiasm for one’s car does not come with a price tag. We will share stories of extremely built vehicles, bone stock vehicles, and everything in between.
- Unbiased attention towards vehicular pursuits. Plenty of drag racing out there, but there’s also autocross, rallycross, rally, road racing, targa, TSD, ice racing, baja, rock crawling and probably more. We want to show the world how YOU enjoy your GM and we mean it! From 1000whp Grand National dragsters to 6″ lifted Silverado boggers, we’re interested!
- No age discrimination! (Drivers OR GMs!) Just get your license? Playing with cars in your retirement? Is your GM brand spankin’ new or do you need a wheelbarrow to move your Carfax report? Doesn’t matter. This is all about GM enthusiasts! Let’s see your old school Bel Air or Chieftain! Tell us what you think about your new Volt!
We will add other makes to the community as we find gear heads out there who are on-fire to work on a project like this for their own communities. All currently serviced makes are listed here.
